Somerset County Commissioners on Feb. 4 approved the Treasurer’s Warrant for the General Fund ($146,883.72), Jail ($267,256.81) and Unorganized Territories ($153,421.89), totaling $567,562.42 (Resolution 26-26). Commissioner Scott Seekins moved the warrant approval, Commissioner John Alsop seconded, and the motion passed 5-0.
Finance Director Patrick Dolan provided historical budget sheets and said department heads were finalizing FY27 draft budgets with the County Administrator. For the seven months into the fiscal year, he estimated both the general fund and jail budgets were trending favorable by about $400,000 each. Commissioners noted the figures and asked for continued monitoring during budget finalization.
