The item included a contingency amount (the motion identified an additional $28,000 request with about $20,000 already spent and a possible further $10,000–$12,000), and commissioners requested future notice on any further cost increases.
Commissioners conducted a roll‑call vote; the motion passed with multiple recorded yes votes and recorded no votes from at least three commissioners. One commissioner explicitly asked that future increases come back to the board for approval. The board later revisited the vote to make sure motion and support were properly recorded and again carried the motion on roll call.
