Christian Savage (SEDC) provided commissioners with an update packet on the MACC Broadcast Fund tied to the CMP corridor package and said, after extensive negotiations, a contract was finalized roughly ten days before the Feb. 18 meeting. He highlighted portions of the packet calling out emergency communications and cellular service upgrades as primary uses and said the funds must be primarily spent within the Route 201 corridor area.
Savage also reviewed the packet’s sections on loan administration within the department. Commissioners received the packet for review and were asked to note the Route 201 spending constraint and the emphasis on emergency communications improvements.
