Richard Petrie, introduced as Jackman Town Manager, told the Somerset County Commission on Feb. 18 that he is looking forward to strengthened collaboration between Jackman and the county. He said he met last week with the County Administrator, Emergency Management Agency and Public Health to begin coordinating services and relationship-building.
Petrie said broadband expansion is a priority and that he has been in discussions with Christian Savage of SEDC about inclusion in corridor planning. He also identified strengthening response capabilities in the Unorganized Territories as “a major focus,” noting the town’s interest in working with county departments on preparedness and communications. The commissioners acknowledged his introduction and indicated support for ongoing engagement.
