The Clermont County Board of Commissioners held public hearings on July 23 for two proposed road vacations in Stonelick Township and issued different outcomes.
Deputy Surveyor Craig Risner told the Board the Stonelick Township Trustees had adopted a resolution requesting vacation of 145 feet (0.027 miles) of Anstaett Road that lies within parcel 30-29-11C-069 (Eastern Hills Rod and Gun Club). Risner reported the legal description was acceptable, the vacation would not create landlocked parcels, and township ODOT mileage certification would be reduced. No members of the public testified or submitted correspondence. The Board adopted Resolution Number 108-25 vacating the described portion of Anstaett Road; recorded vote was unanimous Yes.
On Aux Bois Drive, Risner reported a legal description and plat had not been submitted and the County Tax Map Office could not create accurate vacation parcels. Based on that technical deficiency, the County Engineer's Office recommended the Board decline the vacation. No correspondence was received and the Board adopted Resolution Number 109-25 declining to vacate the portion of Aux Bois Drive pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 5553.045.
Both hearings were video recorded and are available for public inspection; the record notes no public speakers appeared at either hearing.
