The Clermont County Water Resources Department and the Board executed an agreement with CECOS International, Inc. for disposal of sanitary landfill leachate at the Lower East Fork Wastewater Treatment Plant in Miami Township. The contract rate is $0.0479 per gallon, with an estimated volume of 120,000 gallons per month; the agreement is effective from 08/09/2025 through 08/08/2027.
Randy Davis, of Clermont County Water Resources, explained the rationale during the meeting, saying the landfill generates waste and the Water Resources Department is responsible for its disposal under the agreement. The agreement was listed on the consent agenda and executed as part of consent item #4; the Board voted to approve the consent agenda items as presented.
