Clermont County seeks bids to upgrade animal shelter; pre-bid Aug. 7, bids due Aug. 21

The Clermont County Board of Commissioners on July 23 authorized advertising for bids for the Clermont County Animal Shelter Improvement Project and set key dates for procurement.
The Clerk of the Board will publish a legal notice on July 31, 2025. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Aug. 7, 2025 at the shelter (4025 Filager Road, Batavia), and bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2025 at the Board's office, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Jessica Powell, Assistant County Administrator of Procurement, explained the public improvement project is intended to ready the facility for installation of a commercial washer/dryer and dishwasher.
The Board voted unanimously to advertise the project; the legal notice will also be posted on the county website and procurement will proceed under the County’s public improvement procedures.
