Commission adopts 2026 meeting calendar after tied votes over work-session time

Commissioner Jason Frost moved to set work sessions at 4 p.m., a proposal that received two affirmative votes (Frost and Hoyte) and two opposing votes (Biddle and Douglas). Chairman Charles Coffey cast the tie-breaking vote against the 4 p.m. motion. Commissioner Gerald Douglas then moved to set work sessions at 9 a.m.; that motion carried after Chairman Coffey cast a tie-breaking vote in favor, producing a final count (3–2) for the 9 a.m. schedule. The agenda package lists the adopted 2026 regular meeting dates and notes that work sessions will be held on the fourth Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m., unless they fall on a holiday.
Commissioners discussed public access and staff scheduling during the debate; the clerk will publish the adopted calendar and required meeting notices.
