Commission approves board appointments, 4‑H agreement and grant applications

Separately, the commission approved reappointment of April Hughes to the New Horizons Behavioral Health board for a three-year term beginning Dec. 1, 2025.
The commission unanimously approved submission of a SEID/trail grant application intended to support a county trail project. County staff also noted an Annual Financial Agreement and budget for Cooperative Extension services (University of Georgia Cooperative Extension) for FY2026, including a request for mileage funding to support 4‑H outreach; the extension budget and county signature pages were included in meeting materials and staff sought county approval for invoicing arrangements.
Next steps: the clerk will record appointments and staff will submit the grant application and process Cooperative Extension invoicing per the Memorandum of Understanding.
