Communications & Community Engagement Committee Chair Angie DeBernardo told Council the Committee is developing two engagement initiatives: a quarterly electronic newsletter to the Village Constant Contact list of more than 2,000 residents, and use of the community table at the North Union Farmers Market this summer to enable Council members to engage with residents and gather contact information for Village notification lists.
A draft mockup of the newsletter is in progress and will be presented to full Council at a future meeting. The Committee proposed a model in which Committee chairs would contribute brief updates rather than relying on administrative staff to compile content.
