The Committee agreed digital-first distribution with printed copies available for pickup at Village Hall; direct mailing was discussed but set aside as cost-prohibitive in the near term. Ms. Spremulli outlined an editorial process: committee chairs would submit factual, word-limited contributions; the Communications Committee would edit; and the Mayor and Council President would give final sign-off. The Committee also discussed reactivating a Village Constant Contact list of approximately 2,000 subscribers for distribution and emphasized keeping the newsletter distinct from the Village's operational alert system to avoid confusing residents who expect real-time notices.
Members reached consensus to move toward a prototype, targeting a Fall 2026 launch. Next steps include Ms. Spremulli drafting a mock layout and soliciting sample contributions to evaluate the format before presenting the concept to Council.
