Councilmember Drum moved and the Council adopted Ordinance No. 2026‑35 on June 22, classifying East Washington Street as a portion of the village that is not a state route or through highway and applying the default 25 mph speed limit pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code. The motion to adopt carried with unanimous ayes.
The ordinance repeals any previous ordinance that raised the default speed limit on that segment and directs the Village to post speed limit signage to reflect the 25 mph limit. The adoption was recorded as an emergency measure and will be effective upon the ordinance's publication and posting of signs.
