The New Plymouth School District board adopted a package of policy updates at its June 8 meeting, voting unanimously on a motion by Trustee Jeremy Howard and seconded by Trustee Matt Cox.
Policies adopted include updates to high school graduation requirements (2700P), financial fraud and theft prevention (7225), federal grant financial accountability and records retention (7235, 7237), property and record retention (7270), allowable use of grant funds and selected items of cost (7320 series), federal procurement and public works contracting (7400/7405 series), federal cash-management rules (7450 series), and procedures for declaring a financial emergency (7600 series). The board also adopted a new policy, 2445, for District Provided Virtual Instruction. The minutes record unanimous approval; specific policy text changes were listed in agenda materials but not reproduced in the meeting minutes.
