At the June 11 meeting the Grayson County Board of Supervisors confirmed several appointments and tabled one nomination.
Supervisor C.S. “Sandy” Cunningham moved to appoint Mary Anne Hall, RN/BSN, as the Virginia Department of Health primary representative to the Community Policy & Management Team (CPMT) for a four-year term; Supervisor Paul G. Richardson seconded and the motion carried 4–0. Cunningham made a separate motion to appoint Megan Helmick, PhD, MPH, CHES, as the VDH alternate representative to CPMT; that motion likewise passed 4–0. The board also approved Jane Shisler to serve a two-year term on the Grayson County Senior Advocacy Committee by the same vote count.
An Economic Development Authority appointment for Timmy Dixon (Providence District) was tabled to the next meeting. No board members spoke at length on the appointment items during the recorded minutes.
