The Rockport School Committee approved its proposed 2025'026 meeting calendar and accepted several community donations during the May 21 meeting.
Superintendent Mark Branko said he had plugged in every-other-Wednesday dates and placed an August 12 off-site retreat as a placeholder. "I have put in a placeholder for an August 12 summer retreat," he said, explaining the date is an open-meeting workshop-style day. The committee approved the calendar by voice vote.
The committee also accepted donations presented by the superintendent: hand-printed items from Rusty and Ingrid Screenprints for a fundraiser; a black "Tree of Life" sweatshirt donated by Solstice for the music-department fundraiser; and musical equipment (stands, cables and handheld percussion instruments) from Tom Flaherty. Members approved acceptance of the donations by voice vote.
