School leaders announce $2,000 drama donation, staffing changes and May 10 Play Day

Superintendent Mark Branca reported that the Galen Gibson Scholarship Trust donated $2,000 to Rockport's middle and high school drama programs. He also thanked Charlie Reuter for his service as a permanent substitute at the middle school and welcomed Amy Fidelity as his replacement in that role. "So we'd like to give a big shout out to the Galen Gibson Scholarship Trust for donating $2,000 to our middle and high school drama programs," the superintendent said.
Subcommittee updates included a brief wellness note: committee members reminded attendees that a community Play Day is scheduled for May 10 with pickleball clinics, bike rides, art activities and student leadership involvement; Lassen (a student present) will serve as a primary contact for planning some activities. Committee members recommended promoting the series and recordings more widely in district communications.
