Map review shows Industrial Drive alignment cuts across Noel's Tree Farm; committee to check deeds

During a map review, committee members and Alon Kessler examined the right-of-way labeled Industrial Drive and pointed out that the alignment, as displayed, would pass through planted areas of Noel's Tree Farm and come very close to the farm's barn and customer parking. Committee members noted the right-of-way appears wide—one member referenced a roughly 75-foot width—and that access rights and deed language need verification.
"As you can see here, this is the proposed road, and this is our farm... it cuts through," Kessler said while pointing to the displayed parcels. Members suggested the group obtain deeds and tax-lot information, check whether the right-of-way is classified as a state highway, and determine whether the town would inherit maintenance obligations if it acquired the parcel. The committee agreed to obtain deeds and to ask DOT about classification and assemblage rules before recommending any next steps.
