Students tell Rockport School Committee why they choose and value their school

"Rockport has completely changed our lives," student Charley Martin said, describing family challenges and how the school community supported him. Other students highlighted programs such as PLTW and opportunities to lead (student council and class officers); one student said Rockport's small size meant "everyone grows up together," which they linked to stronger extracurricular and athletic continuity.
Committee members praised the students' candor and asked whether the students would recommend additions to programming; most said the school meets their needs, though one suggested adding a volleyball team. The session closed with committee thanks and recognition of staff who support student leadership and exchanges.
