The clerk told council members that the council packet included a 52-page precinct summary (precinct-level results), a statement of votes cast and a three-page election summary outlining race outcomes. The clerk said some precinct results are suppressed where fewer than 15 votes were cast to protect voter privacy.
The clerk also described the public cast vote record (CDR) required in the state's reporting template, which outlines how each ballot was tabulated and the reconciliation steps. "A new thing that is now required to be included in our... Canvas reports is a public cast vote record, or CDR," the clerk said.
The clerk gave turnout and ballot-quality figures: 4,674 ballots processed (~22% return rate), eight provisional ballots counted, and an additional 47 ballots that were not eligible because they arrived late, were empty, or otherwise could not be cured. Council members thanked the clerk's staff for the work but also urged continued transparency to address public trust concerns ahead of the November election.
