The Clinton County Planning Commission directed the County Administrator to issue a contract work order to OHM Advisors to develop draft text amendments that would: add storage facilities to A-2 permitted uses, add or revise kennel provisions, and change enforcement procedures to a ticketing approach. Commissioner Jan Motz moved the directive; the motion passed unanimously (7-0).
"to direct the County Administrator to issue a contract work order for OHM Advisors to develop text amendment language in reference to: adding storage facilities to A-2 permitted uses, kennel provisions, and changing enforcements to a ticket procedure," Jan Motz moved and the commission voted in favor. The commission recorded that the contract would be funded through a reserve that is written into the current OHM Advisors contract; no dollar amount was specified in the minutes.
Staff and commissioners indicated the changes are intended to clarify permitted uses and update enforcement mechanisms. The draft language and any budgetary or scope details will be brought back for review at a future commission meeting.
