Girard council approves notice to exceed revenue neutral rate

Council also scheduled a budget workshop for July 20 at 4:00 p.m. to follow up on revenue and expenditure planning. The notice to exceed the revenue neutral rate is a procedural step that allows the city to publish its intent and hold the required public hearing(s) as the budget process continues; the council did not adopt a final tax rate at the July 13 meeting.
