Pool board wins town approval for workers' comp and lifeguard pay arrangement

Chairperson Laverne Schieffer introduced a delegation from the Town Country Pool Board, and Pool Board members Katie Stutzman and Renee Hejna told the Board they had met with Koch Insurance about coverage for the pool. Finance Officer Ev Kloucek recorded the Pool Board's request that the town provide workers' compensation coverage and allow the Pool Board to pay lifeguards and a junior lifeguard, with the Pool Board reimbursing the town when the pool was closed.
"The Town does pay insurance on the pool," Pool Board member Katie Stutzman said, and the Board agreed to the request. The minutes record that the request was granted and that the Pool Board thanked the Town Board for supporting pool upkeep. After the discussion, Stutzman and Hejna left the meeting at 7:04 p.m.
