Commission approves design and schedule for $1.49M ADLC street improvements

The Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Commission approved the ADLC 2026 Street Improvements project after Trihydro engineer Sara Cline presented the scope and schedule on Feb. 3.
Cline described reconstruction on Spruce, Walnut and Pine between Fourth and Seventh streets, work on Eighth Street near the courthouse, a new storm drain inlet to reduce alley flooding and valley gutters at the Fifth Street intersections. She estimated probable construction costs at $1,489,715.00 and provided a design schedule: a 95% review set by Feb. 27, final IFC by March 19 and a first bid advertisement planned for March 20 with bid opening April 6. "We will provide ADLC with a 95% set for review by February 27th, with the final IFC set produced on March 19th, and the first bid advertisement on March 20th," Cline said.
Commissioners approved the project 4–0 with no public comment. County staff said curb replacements are included for most of the corridor and that the Fifth Street intersection reconstruction is being deferred until a future gas-main replacement by NorthWestern Energy can be coordinated.
