Nyman also reported that Butte Granite Works raised the stone fabrication cost to $6,000 from an earlier $5,400 estimate and that a $3,000 downpayment has been made; she said the change could create about a $1,000 deficiency in the project budget. Board members, including Chair Bob Wren (participating by phone) and Vice‑Chair Terry LaValley, said contingency funds or later fundraising could address the shortfall. Public comment was none.
