Council approves budget amendments, BLM grant and adopts Resolution 2026-19 to amend 2026 budget

The manager's office proposed three budget amendments: $100,000 for the attorney's office to cover US Magnesium bankruptcy and anticipated matters; $68,000 for Parks and Recreation repairs; and a $200,000 BLM community assistance grant allocated to the Emergency Operations Center. Council accepted the proposals after brief discussion.
The council then opened a public hearing on Resolution 2026-19 (amending and increasing the 2026 county budget). Seeing no public speakers, the chair asked for a motion to close the hearing and the council voted to adopt the resolution after a motion and second.
