Council awards Water Smart grant contract for Idapaw/Lehi House to Sage Construction

Jed Dowell, introduced by the chair as the county director, recommended awarding a competitively solicited contract for the Ida Paw/Lehi House to Sage Construction after a three-week solicitation and review of four bids. Dowell said the work includes housing structure elements, vents, two water tanks and culinary service, and that the contract pairs with a well drilled earlier this year as phase 1 of the project. He said the price "came in on budget of what we expected and it's under the budget that was approved for the project."
Dowell noted the project is funded in part by a Bureau of Reclamation grant called 'Water Smart' received in May 2024 and recommended the council approve the award. The council moved, voted and adopted the contract award by voice vote.
