Trenton gives progress update on municipal building, water tower and splash pad

City Manager Marcos Nichols updated council on a package of construction and public-works items. He said the Trenton Square municipal building's interior block masons and exterior brick work are in progress and the project is on track to be "dried in" (roof, windows, doors installed) by early September; parking-lot installation is scheduled for the first week of August.
Nichols said the elevated water tower has reached 148 feet and the final pedestal pour and concrete dome pour are next steps, and he reported the splash pad opened July 2 and has used approximately 851,000 gallons of water since opening. He also said the City submitted a $50,000 ODNR grant reimbursement request for the splash pad and noted upcoming bid openings for local paving and the OPWC waterline replacement project in early August. No formal council action was required at the work session.
