Salem Township names engineer and updates sewage enforcement and inspections for 2026

At the Jan. 5 organizational meeting the Salem Township Board of Supervisors appointed Doug Regola as township engineer and as the primary sewage enforcement officer (SEO). The board also named Richard Bourg as the secondary SEO and retained Dave Jobe as an alternate to complete outstanding 2025 septic permit applications.
The supervisors approved Resolution No. 04-2026 to retain a third-party inspection agency for issuing permits, conducting plan reviews and inspections under Ordinance No. 05-2004, and to establish permitting and inspection fees. The board stated there were no changes in building permit fees for 2026 and that Jobe Inspection LLC and Dave Jobe will continue to be involved in permitting during the transition to an outside inspection agency.
The motions for engineering, SEO appointments and inspection-agency retention passed unanimously.
