The Salem Township Board of Supervisors approved routine business and payments at its July 16, 2025 meeting, voting unanimously to accept minutes and to authorize monthly expenditures across funds totaling $110,888.39. The board recorded fund-level amounts: General $43,248.97; Payroll $45,467.12; Liquid Fuels $16,862.87; Sewage $1,033.00; Streetlights $495.97; Machinery $464.46; Fire $3,316.00.
Supervisors also approved a series of routine items by unanimous votes: release of Derry Construction Co., Inc. from a materials contract; approval of a $550 Arts Grant Contract with the Westmoreland County Commissioners for the Salem Township Recreation Board; and ratification of a revised letter of support for the Seanor Farm Park Phase 3 Baseball Field Project grant application. The board again tabled hiring for a Road Crew employee, a matter that has been deferred since November 20, 2024.
The meeting minutes record that motions were made and seconded by Supervisors Kerry Jobe and Ken Trumbetta, with votes recorded for Bob Zundel, Ken Trumbetta and Kerry Jobe. The board adjourned at 8:25 p.m. and set its next regular meeting for August 20, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Salem Township Municipal Building.
