Residents raise concerns about rental properties, pickleball access and dogs during public comment

During the public comment period the council heard several community complaints and requests. Pam Schutt raised concerns about "the use of marijuana and the number of cars at one of the rental properties near her home," and the record states the council and police were already investigating the matter with the village attorney and police. Bruce Hirsch also voiced concerns about renters, parking issues and dogs off-leash.

Recreational users raised pickleball-related requests: Mike Mayfield asked for a pickleball liaison, bathroom access, and allowance for court barricades. Mark Zello commended Building Inspector Bill Lambert for his knowledge and ease of working with residents. Council did not take substantive action during the meeting on these public-comment items; staff and police were noted as looking into at least the rental/property enforcement concern.
