At its March 13 meeting the Parks and Greenspace Commission voted to recommend that the Clinton County Board of Commissioners provide a letter of support for the Turner Road connection project linking Lansing and DeWitt Township.
Coordinator Kyle Thornton presented a request from Tri-County Regional Planning Commission and PEA Group; Nicole Fickes moved the recommendation and Melany Mack seconded. “A recommendation from the Parks and Green Space Commission to the Clinton County Board of Commissioners to provide a letter of support to Tri-County Regional Planning Commission and PEA Group for the City of Lansing to DeWitt Township phase of the project,” the motion stated. The commission voted and the motion carried.
The commission did not vote on the letter itself; the action was a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners. Thornton said he had heard back from DeWitt Township, the City of Lansing, and the Clinton County Road Commission and that those jurisdictions were providing or had provided letters of support.
