Council member Mike Mumper and Street Superintendent Rick Reitz updated the council on water‑system work at the Nov. 8 meeting. Mumper said the village has submitted monthly water reports to EGLE and Public Works is performing daily water testing; hydrant flushing will continue for the coming weeks. "The new pump will be installed later this month," staff said, and installation will be timed to take advantage of lower seasonal water use.
Merritt Engineering is preparing a project plan for the Creek water project; federal approvals will be required before the village can advertise bids. Public Works also reported installation of new drywells on Lake Shore Drive completed the four drywells included in the 2024–25 budget.
