Council elects Tim McCarthy president, names Brian Cassidy president pro tem

The Village of Michiana Council unanimously elected Tim McCarthy as Council President and Brian Cassidy as President Pro Tem at its Dec. 13 meeting. Mike Botelho moved to nominate McCarthy as Council President; Brian Cassidy seconded, and the nomination passed on a 5–0 roll call.
Mike Mumper then seconded McCarthy’s motion to nominate Cassidy as President Pro Tem; that motion also passed 5–0. The roll call at the start of the meeting listed members Tim McCarthy, Brian Cassidy, Mike Botelho, Nancy Thill and Mike Mumper as present. The council handled these leadership elections as part of routine organizational business at the start of the meeting.
