Planning Commission pauses Sport Courts until Master Plan update

Planning Commission member and council discussed the village Master Plan and timing for larger projects. Mike Botelho announced a Sept. 13 workshop and moved that Sport Courts construction be paused until the Master Plan framework is completed; Tim McCarthy seconded and the council approved the motion by roll call 5-0.
Planning Commission Chair Julie Bonello outlined the commission’s approach to updating the Master Plan, saying the committee will meet with consultants, follow the 2005 Master Plan format, and prepare a letter of intent and a request for proposals to solicit consultant bids. Bonello said planners will report updates to the council as the RFP and consultant selection proceed.
