Council members highlighted ongoing fundraising for the Village Hall renovation. Anne Heywood said the next fundraiser will feature a series of 10 posters created by local artist Chris Boothe; the posters will be available for viewing at the Village Party and for purchase through the Village office or website.
Heywood also reported the recent House Walk raised $11,000 and sold 96 tickets. "The House Walk raised $11,000 sold 96 tickets and Karen Shoshona and her team Jan Mathes, Lisa Zirpolo did an outstanding job," she told the council. Proceeds will support continued renovation work and related fundraising activity; the council did not vote on new spending at the Aug. 9 meeting.
