Prison Board approves minutes, reports, retains officer slate and authorizes truck disposal

At its Jan. 20 meeting the Mercer County Prison Board unanimously approved the December minutes, accepted the warden and IPP reports, retained the existing officer slate, and authorized disposal of a rusted red dump truck through the county.
The Mercer County Prison Board took several routine votes on Jan. 20. The board approved the December minutes (moved by Judge Daniel P. Wallace, seconded by Tim Callahan) by unanimous voice vote. The Warden's report and the IPP report were each approved by unanimous voice vote after motions and seconds were made.
On new business the board voted unanimously to retain the existing slate of officers (motion and second recorded in the minutes) and also approved a motion to return a red dump truck to the county for sale or reuse after Warden McDuffie described rusted floor panels and oil-holding problems. No votes to change medication policy were recorded during the meeting.
