The board accepted NorthRock Construction, Inc.'s low bid of $124,530 for repairs to Mercer County Bridge 1916 on Hassel Road (Resolution #2026-033). Work described in the resolution includes eliminating deflection joints in concrete barriers, making concrete repairs to abutments, and installing tie-back anchors in a wing wall. The motion passed unanimously.
Separately, Resolution #2026-031 authorized the County Solicitor to file a Declaration of Taking and related documents to initiate condemnation against William D. McCleery, Jr. and Marsha L. McCleery to acquire a permanent right-of-way and temporary construction easement needed for reconstruction of Mercer County Bridge No. 2339 on Service Avenue in the City of Sharon. The board also authorized advertising Amendment 47 to Ordinance No. 3 of 1980 to revise county bridge weight limits and penalties under the Vehicle Code (Act of June 17, 1976, P.L. 162 No. 81 and 75 PA C.S.A. §101 et seq.). All motions were moved by Mr. McGonigle, seconded by Dr. Coleman and approved by all three commissioners.
