Mercer County to serve as host for Grove City Medical Center RACP grant; county staff hear grant reimbursement details

Commissioners unanimously approved Resolution #2026-024 authorizing Mercer County to serve as the host municipality for the Grove City Medical Center capital project and to enter a host agreement with Penn Northwest Development Corporation and Grove City Medical Center to facilitate RACP grant funding.
Gary Dovey of Penn Northwest Development Corporation described the RACP grant process as reimbursement-driven and said the construction phase is document-intensive, with Penn Northwest receiving grant funds and sending them to the hospital; audits occur after funds are spent. The motion was moved by Mr. McGonigle and seconded by Dr. Coleman and passed with all three votes recorded as yes.
