Mercer County approves opioid-settlement contracts for outreach and recovery tools

The Mercer County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 22 approved Opioid Settlement Fund contracts to support outreach and digital recovery tools. Commissioners unanimously passed Resolution #2026-025 to pay Cumulus Radio $25,000 for a digital and radio advertising campaign to raise awareness of the opioid crisis and available resources.
In a separate set of unanimous votes, the board approved Resolutions #2026-026 through #2026-029 to provide four treatment and recovery providers with access to Looped Fusion for 18 months. Each agreement totals $36,160 and includes a one-time $25,000 onboarding set-up fee with training and technical assistance plus a $620 monthly access fee for the 18-month term. Named vendors receiving the Looped Fusion access were Community Counseling Center of Mercer County, Gaudenzia, Inc., Mercer County Behavioral Health Commission, and Center for Behavioral Health-HA, LLC (dba Farrell Comprehensive Treatment Center). The motions were moved by Mr. McGonigle and seconded by Dr. Coleman, with the board voting yes (McGonigle, Finley, Coleman).
