Controller Aprille Williamson reported to the board on July 9 that the county’s 2026 revenue and expenditure reports were available and that preliminary budget request forms for 2027 have been issued to departments. Williamson said the county’s MERS actuarial work is complete and that a millage proposal is scheduled for the board’s July 23 meeting.
Williamson also noted administrative needs including review of security policies and emergency plans, BSA training and an accounting-procedure review. The controller’s remarks were presented as part of the Controller Report; no formal action was taken during the meeting on budget adoption, which remains in preliminary stages.
