The Town of Iowa council on July 27 unanimously approved three personnel actions in the Iowa Police Department, following a recommendation from Chief of Police Keith Vincent. The council promoted Brandy Simon from Assistant Dispatch Supervisor to Dispatch Supervisor and advanced Brent Quibodeaux from Patrolman to Sergeant. The council also approved the transfer and promotion of Juanita Cox from part-time dispatcher to full-time Assistant Dispatch Supervisor.
The moves were presented by Chief Vincent and were made by motion of Council Member Daniel Hennigan and seconded by Council Member Julie Fontenot; each motion passed unanimously. The changes were added to the agenda by an amendment earlier in the meeting and adopted by the council before the votes.
