The county's elections administrator asked the court to approve consolidation of several precincts and polling locations for the November general election, explaining the change follows the approach used in the March primary runoff and helps with worker scheduling and equipment logistics.
The administrator said the recommendation would place precincts 1 & 2 at Val Clark Beard, Marathon at the Marathon Civic Center, Alpine at Alpine Civic Center and precincts 5–7 at the Red Petillo Community Center. "This is exactly how we did it for the primary runoff with no issues," the administrator said.
Judge Hennington asked for questions, then entertained a motion. The court moved, seconded and approved the consolidation order on a voice vote so staff could prepare the order and notice of election.
