The Rogers County Board voted unanimously on March 9 to rezone the property owned by Jeffrey and Danna McGuire at 4535 E. 340 Rd., Talala, from AG (Agriculture) to AR (Agriculture-Residential) to allow a residential lot split. Planning Commission Deputy Director Brittany Senters presented the staff recommendation; the Planning Commission had recommended approval 4-0. No members of the public attended the hearing to speak for or against the request.
Commissioner Steve Hendrix moved to open the public hearing at 9:15 a.m.; the hearing was closed at 9:17 a.m. Hendrix then moved to approve the rezoning and Commissioner DeLozier seconded; Roll call votes were DeLozier-aye, Hendrix-aye, Burrows-aye. The approval is subject to the usual county lot-split and platting procedures handled by planning staff.
