The Board accepted Resolution #2026-057, awarding Mercer County $114,927 from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for the 2026 Mosquito-borne Disease Control Program. The funds will cover personnel salaries/benefits, equipment, surveillance, education and outreach, habitat reduction and mosquito treatment; the program will also include tick surveillance. The performance period is 01/01/2026–12/31/2026 and no county match is required.
