Rogers County commissioners approve routine items, accept $2,000 donation and table firearm range bid

The Rogers County Board of County Commissioners convened March 16, 2026, and approved its March 9 and March 11 meeting minutes. Commissioner Dan DeLozier moved to approve the minutes and Commissioner Steve Hendrix seconded; Roll call votes were DeLozier-aye, Hendrix-aye and Chairman Ron Burrows-aye.
The board approved a series of routine procurement and facilities actions, including acceptance of two easements, approval of change order #004 for the Facility Maintenance Expansion project with Lyle Building Group, and adoption of Resolution 2026-163 to pay purchase orders from all departments. DeLozier moved to approve the payment resolution; Hendrix seconded and the motion carried on unanimous roll call.
In a separate vote, the board accepted Resolution 2026-162 to receive a $2,000 donation from CF Industries for the Rogers County Sheriff's Office Summer Youth Cadet Academy. The donation is designated for uniforms, food, promotional items and equipment. Purchasing staff also reported procurement activity: for Bid 2026-37 (Firearm Safety Training Facility Range Tower), 81 invitations were sent, 12 companies attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting and five bids were received; the board voted to table that item for one week.
