The City of Weatherford Planning and Zoning Commission approved a conditional use permit for Brakes Plus, an auto-repair use on a 1.897-acre tract in the WM Jackson Addition (CUP 20240002).
Jamie Moon, planner for the City of Weatherford, told commissioners staff recommended approval with three conditions: no temporary signage, no outside storage of auto parts or accessories, and hours of operation limited to 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Moon presented the site plan and elevations and said the proposed business will share access with an adjacent tenant and will not take access off the highway.
Matthias Albert, civil engineer for the applicant, said the applicant accepted staff’s conditions and offered to answer questions. After the public hearing closed, Commissioner Hayes moved to approve the CUP with those conditions; Commissioner Kathy Wiley seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The commission recorded the approval and moved on to the next agenda item.
