Council approved a Chapter 380 economic development agreement with Retail Partners LLC covering roughly 7.9 acres near I‑20 and Centerpoint Road. Ashley Seiler, representing the developer, told council the project will include a major grocery anchor (Sprouts) plus about 35,000 square feet of additional retail and a minimum capital investment of approximately $20,000,000; construction is expected to begin within six months of agreement adoption.
Seiler said the agreement had previously been approved by the WIDA board on July 19 and that staff and the developer were available to answer council questions. Following a motion by a councilmember and a second, council voted to approve the development agreement as presented.
