Council approves Tetra Tech amendment for Pipeline Road waterline resilience work

The Astoria City Council on Oct. 7 approved an amendment to the Tetra Tech professional services contract for the Pipeline Road Water Transmission Line Resilience Project, adding $218,726 for additional survey and construction support services.
City Manager Jamie Manser Spence told council the project identified roughly 4,500 feet of pipeline for replacement and had previously received ARPA funding of $2,930,000. Spence said the construction portion (separately bid) will be roughly $2.2 million, with this contract amendment covering necessary design and construction support. Council voted to approve the amendment after a brief discussion confirming funds exist and will be allocated in future budget adjustments.
