Mayor Kris Wyatt relayed the organizer’s plan for a Friday night cruise and a Saturday car show; Councilmember Judd Johns moved to approve the closure and Councilmember Joe Church seconded. A roll-call vote recorded Church, Fletcher, Groom, Johns, Peters and Witty voting "Aye," and the motion passed.
The closure authorization gives organizers and city staff the formal permission to plan traffic control and street-use logistics for the event on the specified date.
