Parker County court places $181.605 million Justice Center bond on Nov. 4 ballot

Parker County Commissioners Court voted unanimously Aug. 18 to call a bond election for Proposition B, a $181,605,000 Justice Center bond, to appear on the Nov. 4, 2025 ballot.
The County Judge moved to call the election and the court approved the order 5–0. Financial adviser George Williford told the court the Justice Center was modeled at $181,605,000 and that, in a combined package with the jail bond, the Justice Center’s share would be roughly 3.18¢ of the tax rate, or about $31.80 annually for a property with $100,000 in taxable value. "There's a slight variation ... it doesn't really affect the debt service to any extent or the tax impact," Williford said when describing recent design adjustments.
The judge emphasized that cost estimates are in future dollars and that competitive bidding and construction timing will affect final costs; he also thanked the bond committee and the project’s architectural firm for their work. The court provided printed modeling packets for public review and advised residents to contact their commissioner or the judge with follow-up questions.
